Esther Spencer Newman

Esther Spencer Newman, 79, of Bassett passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 in Spencer.  She was born on August 18, 1942 in Patrick County to the late Pete Albert Spencer and the late Gladys Shirley Hundley Spencer.  In addition to her parents she is preceded by husband, Curtis G. Newman (February 17, 2013) (married 50 years April 12, 2014); sister, Garnett Wadell and brother, Lloyd W. Spencer.  Esther had work at Walmart in Stuart and Martinsville; Bassett Walker and Blue Ridge Rehab.
Esther is survived by son, Jeff Newman (Jennifer); grandchildren, Cole (Sarah) Newman and Leanne Newman; sister, Erma Driver (Archie) and brother, James Martin (Peggy).
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Henry Memorial Park with Pastor Freddie Bonds and Pastor Eric Kieselbach officiating. Burial to follow service.
