Linda "Diane" Easley

Linda "Diane" Easley, 74, of Bassett, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 30, 1948 in Martinsville, VA to the late Lucy Mae Hylton and the late Nick B. Hairston, Jr., and was raised by the late George and Malinda Winbush (Saunders). In addition to her biological and adoptive parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Samuel L. Easley; brothers Charles Hairston; Willie Gene Hairston; sister Ada Geneva Saunders Eleonu; step-mother Nancy R. Hairston. She was a member of Saint James Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Diane is survived by her son Lemuel O'Neil Easley (Tammy); daughter Laryssa Toomer (Jeff); grandchildren, Christian Easley, Cameron Easley, Brendon Easley, Bryson Easley; Jonathan Toomer, David Toomer, and Zoe Toomer; brothers J.B. Waller (Debbie), William Hairston (Sandra), Quince Hairston (Connie), and James “Neal” Hairston; sister Glenda Palmer (Harvey); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and special friends.

A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:00pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Saint James Pentecostal Holiness Church with a funeral service to be held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow the funeral service at Carver Memorial Gardens.
