George Andrew Leitch

George Andrew Leitch, age 56 of Covington, entered into the gates of Heaven to his Heavenly Home on Friday, August 19, 2022 with his loving family by his side. George was a man of faith and was employed at Westrock (Low Moor), he was an avid fisherman and hunter. George loved life, his family and his Lord and Savior. He will always be loved and missed by those that crossed his path throughout his earthly journey. George has received his miracle!
George was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elbert and Annie Burks; brothers, Marshall Leitch, Bobby Leitch and David Creech; his sister, Toni Delahook; father-in-law, William V. “Billy” Burns; and a nephew, Bradley Haynes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Burns Leitch; his children, Hannah Leitch and Joey Deaner; mother, Nancy Creech. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Carol Burns; sisters-in-law, Wanda Haynes (Earl), Vickie Smith (Steve), Billie “Dummy” Gibson (Rob); brother-inlaw, Randall Burns (Amanda); nieces, nephews, other family members; his canine companion, Boston; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Covington First Church of the Nazarene, 126 E. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia with Pastor Sonny Wiseman officiating. His family will receive friends on Monday, August 22nd from 6 to 8:30 PM at the church and other times at the home of George’s mom, Nancy Creech, 107 N. Marion Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
