Jon Paul "J.P." Wilson

Jon Paul “J.P.” Wilson, 47, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2022. Born in Roanoke on January 28, 1975, to Jon and Judy Wilson, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnnie Monroe and Betty Jean Hubbard, Paul Wilson, and Lois Wilson Hastings.

J.P. always put others before himself; he was a friend to everyone and would do anything for anyone in need. Jon was a collector of life’s memorabilia – he could see the value in discarded and donated toys, games, and other collectables he acquired. Music was life to J.P. – he was a huge fan of Pearl Jam and their lead vocalist, Eddie Vedder, and his music. Jon always cheered for the Duke Blue Devils, especially when March Madness rolled around and he enjoyed soccer as well.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jon Leslie and Judy Hubbard Wilson; sister, Lori Wilson; grandmother, Betty Wilson; Aunts and Uncle, Norma Hall, Johnnie and Pam Hubbard; special uncle, Breck Hall, and cousins, Alex Hall and Matthew Hubbard.
