William A. "Bill" Palmer

William A. "Bill" Palmer, 70, of Roanoke come to the end of his earthly journey Wednesday, August 24, 2022.  He was preceded by his brother, David O. Palmer; step father, William F. Greenway; and his beloved cats.
Mr. Palmer proudly served in the U S Air Force retiring after 20 years of service.  Following his retirement from the Air Force he worked for Lewis Gale for 27 years, and Home Depot for 11 years.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years; Vicki Dillon Palmer; mother, Betty S. Manning; brother, Dan (Nancy) Palmer and their two sons, Zachary and Andrew; sister in law, B. J. Palmer and her children, Michael and Kate; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either the SPCA or Angels of Assisi
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery 5550 Bagging Plant Road Dublin, VA   There will be no visitation.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  540-366-0707
