Darothy Hart Powell

Darothy Hart Powell, 94, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. She was the daughter of the late George Hart and Luttie S. Hart. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Tennyson Woodrow Powell, Sr.; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Deborah N. Conner and Delilah N. Jones and husband, Dave; son, Darryl Woodrow Powell; grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Kelton and Clark.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 pm, today, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A celebration of Darothy’s life will be held 1 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke with Pastor Jon Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
