Elizabeth "Beth" Lawson Reynolds

April 12, 1958 - January 23, 2024

Elizabeth Lawson Reynolds, 65, of Clarksville, Virginia passed away on January 23, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, Beth’s impact resonates through the lives she touched. Her legacy will live on through the memories she created.
Born on April 12, 1958, to the late Dr. Samuel Robert Lawson and Merle Guill Lawson of Appomattox, Virginia. Beth excelled academically, graduating from Appomattox County High School, Lynchburg College, and Virginia Commonwealth University. With a passion for art, she dedicated 30 plus years to inspiring students in the Appomattox County School System. In retirement, she found joy at the lake with family and friends.
Survived by her husband of 42 years, Ralph “Dillard” Reynolds, Jr. of Clarksville, Virginia. Beth leaves behind two daughters, Kelly Reynolds Chavis and husband Jon of Appomattox, Virginia and Megan Reynolds Morrison and husband Travis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Known affectionately as Gigi, she adored her grandchildren, Owen and Mason Chavis of Appomattox, and Lane and Emery Morrison of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by brothers, Steve Lawson and his wife Laura of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Raymond Lawson and his wife Karen; sister-in-law, Stacey Drinkard and her husband Lee of Appomattox; stepsister, Susan Ponton and her husband, Henry of South Hill, Virginia; her in-laws, Ralph and Ann Reynolds; sister-in-law, Lynn Wilmoth and husband Jamie; and aunt, Peggy Lawson all of Appomattox. She loved all her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Lawson.
A memorial service to celebrate Beth's life will be held 12 pm., Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church, 4559 Liberty Chapel Road, Appomattox, with Pastor Bo Bohannon officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
