Alice Daisy Pillow

September 22, 1928 - April 4, 2024

Alice Daisy Tuck Pillow, 95, of Old Well, Virginia, died Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Brookneal. She was the wife of the late Reginald Edwin Pillow.
Born in Charlotte County, Virginia, on September 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Georgia Nichols Tuck and James Albert Tuck, Jr. Daisy was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she oversaw the card ministry of the Ladies Sunday School Class. She and her husband operated the Old Well Grocery for over 50 years.
Daisy is survived by three children, Gloria P. Carter and husband, Sam of Appomattox, Rodney T. Pillow and wife, Kim, and Jack E. Pillow; daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn H. Pillow all of Phenix; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Pillow (Allison), Jennifer P. Richardson (Davey), Angela Elder (Matt Churchill), Jonathan “J.T.” McNeely (Edwird), Dustin Pillow (Kendall), Corbin Pillow (Belen), April Pillow, and Cody Allen; 13 great grandchildren, Corinne, David, Xander, Annabelle, Henry, Bentley, Ivy, Heidi, Grady, Dawson, Wade, Mia, and Ezra; a brother, Richard “Tee” Tuck of Charlotte Court House; and three sisters-in-law, Velma P. Jackson of Lynchburg, Emily P. Thomas of Altavista, and Polly Tuck of Chase City.
She was preceded in death by a son, Reginald Wayne Pillow; a great-granddaughter, Claire Pillow; and two brothers, Walter “Doll Baby” Tuck and Henry Tuck.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Midway Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Chris Kesler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
