Jennifer White

Jennifer Camden White, 62, of Amherst, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024. She was the loving wife of Larry “Gator” White.
Born in Lynchburg, October 5, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Doris Camden Ferguson and Philip “Phil” Camden. She was preceded in death by stepfather, Gordon Wayne Ferguson. Jennifer graduated from Amherst County High School and went on to pursue a nursing degree at Lynchburg General School of Professional Nursing. She was a nurse on the Mother/Baby unit her entire career.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two stepchildren, Jason White and wife, Holly and Christina Glover and husband, Robert; brother, Philip Camden, Jr., and wife, Wanda; sister, Angela Camden; nephew, Philip Camden, III and wife, Mary Elizabeth; great-niece and nephew, Rebekah and William; step-grandchildren, Ryley, Grace, Luke and Odin; and her pride and joy pets, Knucklehead, Katilou and Millysue.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Piney River Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Ripley officiating. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
