Bobby Christian Garrett

Bobby Christian Garrett, 83, of Appomattox, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Southside Community Hospital. He was the loving husband of Janice Elliott Garrett for 55 years.
Born on June 3, 1941, in Appomattox County, he was the son of the late Leonard Christian Garrett and Emma Robertson Garrett. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Bobby served his country as a member of the United States Army. He retired twice from Framatome for a total of 57 years and six months. Bobby was a former president of the Local Hunters Club. He loved farming the family land and keeping Grandpa’s tractors running.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Christian Garrett and wife, Sherry, and Michael Roberts Garrett and wife, Sasha; six grandchildren, Kayla G. Mullins and husband, Colin, Kameron C. Garrett, Kenlee D. Garrett, Hudson E. Robertson, Hunter M. Garrett, and Peyton E. Garrett; three sisters, Gloria Leveque, Geralynn Garrett, and Betty Craft and husband, Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Wayne Garrett.
A graveside service will be held 2pm, Sunday, June 30, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church with Ron Moore officiating.
