Barry F. Sauls

Barry F. Sauls, 79, of Spout Spring, VA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was the loving husband of Brenda Joyce (Carson) Sauls for 56 years.
Born in Arlington, VA he was the son of the late Robert Spencer Sauls and the late Madeline Virginia Failes Sauls.

Barry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a hardworking, caring, honest, generous, faithful man who was a passionate lover of Jesus and pursued the Father's heart.

He treasured time with his family and the Lord, and thoroughly enjoyed gardening, landscaping, farming/raising animals, and reading. He loved Bible study and being in the outdoors. He also loved mentoring and working with young people.

Barry was a member of Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon, elder, lay speaker, and Adult Sunday school teacher. He was employed as a vocational agriculture and horticulture teacher for the Appomattox County School System in Appomattox, VA for 37 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Ward Sauls and wife, Krista of PA; his daughter, Chantel Elder and husband, David of Spout Spring, VA; and his granddaughter, Brianna Faith Elder of Spout Spring, VA.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Spencer Sauls, Jr. and his three sisters, Lee McWilliams, Judith L. Sauls, and Sally Ann Sauls.

At the request of the family, there will be no services at this time.
