John "Al" Daniel Reed

John “Al” Daniel Reed, 79, of Pamplin, received the gift of eternal life Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Born in Northfork, West Virginia, November 1, 1944, he was a son of the late Sarah Katherine Tate Reed and Warner Wholway Reed. Al received his bachelor’s degree from Hampden Sydney College. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in Radio Communications during the Vietnam Era. Al worked at BWXT in quality control where he retired from.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Patsy Reed Price, Nancy Reed Soos, Benny Frank Reed, Warren David Reed, Richard Rudolph Reed and Linda Reed Galyean.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will conduct a memorial service which will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends following the service until 6:30 p.m., at Robinson Funeral Home.
