Devren Braye Atkins

Devren Braye Atkins, passed away on September 18, 2024. Born to Chanda Salone Atkins on January 22, 2003, Devren's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of kindness, compassion, and selflessness.
Devren consistently placed the needs of others above his own. His uplifting nature brought light into the lives of those around him, making every interaction with him a memorable one. He was a protector and a provider for his family.
Denise and Ellis raised Devren truly to be such a hard worker. He was the one that worked hard at everything he set his mind to. He loved being on the roof working with his papa. After roofing, Devren wanted to learn more so he decided to advance his career and started another job as a welder/technician working at Pinnacle Trailer Sales in Rustburg, Va.
He was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of Concord, VA.
An avid outdoorsman, Devren cherished his time huntin' and catfishin' with friends, and he took great joy in riding and working on his trucks, 4- wheelers, and dirt bikes. His love for life was evident in his enthusiasm for family gatherings, especially enjoying corn puddin', mac n' cheese and honey ham.
In addition to his mother Chanda Atkins, he leaves behind a loving family, including his nanny, Denise Muller; sisters, Ceyannah Thompson and Ceimone Hamlett; brother, Caiden Hamlett Grandpa, Ellis Johnson; cousins, Candace Pollard, Kiyah Pollard, and Kalyx Pollard; uncles on his father’s side; Calvin Hunter and Eric Hunter; God Mother, Bridget Lewis; God Brothers, Tyler Foster and Zachary Lewis; special friends, DJ Elliott and CJ Davis.
Devren was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; Earl Filmore Fitzgerald and Ruby Anne Stevens; his aunt, Donna Allen; and his cousin, Kesslee Biscotti.
A memorial service to honor Devren's life will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Virginia at 5 pm, Friday, September 27, 2024, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.
