Ricky Martin

R. E. “Ricky” Martin, 70 of Appomattox passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Tamara “Tammy” Smith Martin for 34 years.
Born on February 22, 1954, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Jean Carter Chenault and William Adfield “Teale” Martin. Ricky was owner of Martin Printwear Inc. which was founded in 1996. He had many friends and loved helping people in the community who were in need.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Sprouse and husband, Darrell; his son, Ryan “Spanky” Martin; one granddaughter, Maddie; two siblings, Freda Broderson and husband, Aric of Appomattox, and Mark Chenault and wife, Kelli of Williston, FL; and three nephews, Brandon, Nick, and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald G. Chenault.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
