Carolyn Anderson Coleman

Carolyn Anderson Coleman, 81, of Moneta, VA died Friday, November 1, 2024, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dan Gordon Coleman.
She was born in Roanoke, VA, on May 19, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Loraine Lindsey Anderson and Robert T. Anderson.
Carolyn was an educator and elementary school principal in Appomattox, VA and Fairfax, VA. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family at Smith Mountain Lake. She enjoyed riding her Sea-Doo on the lake with her She-Doo’s group and many activities at her church.
She is survived by two children, Jennifer Coleman Fox and husband, Rich of Salem, VA and Robert W. “Robby” Coleman and wife, Lisa of Appomattox, VA; two grandsons, Coleman Fox and Riley Fox; and a sister, Constance McDearmon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Ecumenical Parish, Moneta, VA on November 22, 2024, at 10:30 A.M.
A burial service will be held at Reedy Spring Baptist Church Cemetery, 1315 Reedy Spring Rd, Spout Spring, VA (Appomattox) on November 23, at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:15 until the time of service.
