Jeanette Goad Eagle
Jeanette Goad Eagle, 94, of Appomattox, died Thursday, December 12. 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Curtis Lyle Eagle, Sr.
Born in Fallston, MD, on October 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Mary Edna Day and James Blaine Goad. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a retired seamstress for Amelia Dress Company.
She is survived by a son, Curtis Lyle Eagle, Jr. and wife, Cathryn of Buckingham; and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Eagle of Pamplin; two grandchildren, Pamela Sommers and husband, Madison of Fernandina Beach, FL and Curt L. Eagle, III and girlfriend, Taylor Malcolm of Lynchburg; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Sommers and Shelby Sommers; four sisters, Martha Ann G. Borger and husband, Henry of Maryland, Edna Mae Johnson of Appomattox, Bettie G. Bywater of Tyler, TX, and Carolyn G. Dodson and husband, Lee of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Boyce. The burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
