James William Croushorn
James William Croushorn, Sr., 79, of Pamplin, died on January 7, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Linda Louise Yancey Croushorn.
Born in Aden, VA, on March 24, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles Walter Croushorn and Florence Mae Baker Croushorn. He was in the first graduating class of the new Brentsville High School in Nokesville, VA. Jim was a member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church and the original owner of Jim’s Transmissions in Manassas, VA. He moved to Pamplin, VA and established his organic farm.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, James William Croushorn, Jr. and wife, Sharon M. of Culpeper, Steven Michael Croushorn and wife, Mauda of Warrenton, Jennifer Louise Withrow and husband, Scott Anthony of King George; eight grandchildren, Sara Withrow, Will Croushorn, Ben Croushorn, Kenneth Withrow, Luke Croushorn, Hannah Beebe, Katherine Croushorn, and Karen Croushorn; three great-grandchildren, Hayley Withrow, Alexander Dabo, Reecy Mae Croushorn; four siblings, Betty Mayhugh, Edward “Buddy” Croushorn, Charlotte “Tootie” Jones, and Charlie Croushorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Allen Croushorn.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Muneeb S. Rehman and his staff at UVA Charlottesville as well as Hospice of Virginia for their care of Jim.
A Mass of Christian Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 709 Buffalo St., Farmville, VA 23901 officiated by Father Chris Hess and Rev. Dr. Emmett McLane, Deacon.
