Audrey Hicks

Audrey Ellen Hawkins Hicks, 85, of Appomattox passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Lynchburg, VA, on February 2, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso Hawkins, Sr. and Dorothy White Hawkins. She was a member of Jesus Center in Appomattox, VA.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Hicks and Michael Hicks both of Maryland; one granddaughter, Tierra Brooks and husband, Elijah of Maryland; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Zayia, and Elijah Brooks; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Jean Hawkins of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Barbara Jefferson, Alphonso Hawkins, Jr., and Leroy Hawkins.
A funeral service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Jesus Center with Rev. Alfred L. Jones, III officiating. Burial will follow in Jesus Center Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Jesus Center.
