Beatrice Totty Hudson

Beatrice Totty Hudson was called home on January 10th, 2025, at the age of 90. Beatrice was the daughter of the late Robert Totty and Emma Spiggle Totty.
Granny Bea, as she was lovingly called by her family, was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to garden, and her beautiful flowers were a joy to her each year. Bea loved to watch the Braves and Yankees play baseball, and she was an avid bowler who played in the bowling leagues for many years. One of her greatest joys was playing basketball for Appomattox High School when she was a student. She also schooled her boys when they played basketball!!
Bea retired from both the Appomattox County Public School system after 36 years as a bus driver and Courtland Manufacturer.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ray Hudson: her son, Dwight Hudson; a brother, Ralph Totty; and a sister-in-law, Kaye Totty.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Darl (Cindy) and Donnie (Ruby), 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Phelps (Richard); brother, Herbert Totty; a sister-in-law, Linda Totty; and many nieces and nephews who she loved.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday January 16th, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Mack Almond. The burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
