Florence Taylor

Florence Elaine Moore Taylor, 76, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late George Edward “Red” Taylor.
Born on September 10, 1948, in Appomattox, Va, she was the daughter of the late Leah Moore and Roy Ferguson. She was a member at Bible Baptist Church.
Elaine loved the Lord and studied His word often. She gave generously to ministries and anyone in need. She was a hard worker and loved her family and her dog Harley.
She was a devoted sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. Elaine is survived by her son, Dwayne Edward Taylor of Appomattox; sister, DeLois Moore Kerr of Appomattox; and four grandchildren, Jesse Taylor, Amanda McConnell, Zack Taylor, and James Taylor; and two nieces Denise Ayers and Sandie Brown.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jesse James Taylor and brother, Robert Leroy Moore.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 31, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Jonathan Watson and Pastor Robert E. Lee. The burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends and relatives at the funeral home following the service.
The family would like to give a special thanks to James River Hospice Team and the caregivers, especially Christina Allen, who is also a special friend.
