Gail Bryant Hamlett
Gail Bryant Hamlett, 75, of Pamplin passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Allen Hamlett, Sr.
Born on June 14, 1949, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul Walker Bryant and Elsie Mae Bryant. Gail was a member of Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church. She worked at Dairy Queen in Appomattox for many years serving her community.
She is survived by four children, Lawrence Allen “Lonny” Hamlett, Jr. and wife, Mary, Marvin Hamlett and wife, Dana all of Pamplin, Sheila Logan and husband, Duke of Hardy, and Julie Poole and husband, Kenny of Appomattox; 11 grandchildren, Bruce Griffin, Jr., Tiffany Wilson and husband, Scott, Cyndal Hamlett and Rasha Callaway, Caleb Hamlett and wife, Kirsten, Jenna Kennedy and husband, Jacob, Johnny Hamlett and Brooke Lester, Sierra Blankenship and husband, Cody, Andrea Logan, Kaitlyn Logan, Lillian Poole, and Samuel Poole; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Bevy Lou, Colton, Easton, Griffin, and Jillian; eight siblings, Ray Bryant and wife, Lucille, Bobby Bryant and wife, Marie, Larry Bryant and wife, Denise, Ricky Bryant, Becky Bryant, Mary Woody and husband, Lawrence, Virginia Schmitt, and Bettie Ann Moreno; and sister-in-law, Gail Bryant. She is also survived by her beloved Hamlett brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Bryant and Calvin Heath.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Monday, February 10, 2025, at Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kim Jeffreys officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home.
