Rose Ramsey

Rose Garrett Ramsey, 78, of Pamplin passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Jack Vaughn Ramsey, Sr.
Born on December 12, 1946, in Virginia she was the daughter of the late Jessie Garrett and Ada Roach Garrett.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Michael Lee Moore and wife, Tammy of PA, and Robert Glenn Moore and wife, Jean of Charlotte Court House, VA; two stepsons, Jack Vaughn Ramsey, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Appomattox, VA, and Jason Vaughan Ramsey and wife, Dana of Pamplin, VA; five grandchildren, Tyler Ramsey, Ruby Ramsey, Clay Moore, Ari Moore, and Montana Moore; one great granddaughter, Ainsley Ramsey; and six siblings, Janet Childress and husband, Bruce of Charlotte Court House, VA, Margaret Greenway of NC, Juanita Garner and husband, Wesley of Chase City, VA, Roger Garrett of Nelson, VA, Kenneth Garrett and wife, Norma of Salem, VA and Keith Garrett and wife, Cathy of KY.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Lee “Billy” Moore; a son, William Edward Moore; sister, Ann Setzer; and brother, Ryland Garrett.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Monday, February 24, 2025, at Rocks Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Lee officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30pm in Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pamplin, VA.
The family will receive friends from 12:15- 1pm prior to the service at Rocks Baptist Church.
