James Howard Bohannon, Sr.

James Howard Bohannon, Sr., 82, of Appomattox passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie Parker Covington Bohannon.
Born on March 17, 1942, in Appomattox County, he was the son of the late Aulus Abbitt Bohannon and Mary Eagle Bohannon. James was a member of Memorial Methodist Church. He was an employee of Lynchburg Foundry prior to opening his own business in 1983, Bohannon Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James Howard “JR” Bohannon, Jr. and wife, Wanda of Appomattox. Michael Bohannon of Concord. Four grandchildren, Tyler Bohannon, Christopher Bohannon, Gabriel Bohannon, Jacob and wife, Danielle Bohannon; one great-grandson, Steele Bohannon; nephew, David Bohannon and wife, Linda; niece, Tina Bohannon; great niece and nephew, Rindy B. Bregande and Eric Bohannon.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas David Bohannon, Sr.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, February 28, 2025, at Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Mark Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home.
