Nancy Jamerson
Nancy Christian Jamerson, 82, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by family and dear friends. She was the loving wife of Floyd “Pete” Lee Jamerson for 65 years.
Born in Appomattox County, VA, on August 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Ryan Christian and William David Christian, Sr. She was a member of Rocks Baptist Church, and a former member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she spent many years working in the church nursery and with Vacation Bible School. Nancy retired from the Appomattox Middle School Cafeteria. As the “neighborhood mom” she welcomed all children into her home. Nancy loved to cook and feed people and was often heard saying “Come on in and getcha some.” Nancy lived her life with a positive spirit.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Tammy Lynn Jamerson, JoAnn Jamerson Willis and husband, Scott, and Gregory Dean Jamerson and wife, Wendy; six grandchildren, Zac Willis, Rachel Willis, Jacob Willis, Matthew Willis (Leanna), Nathan Jamerson, and Gabby Jamerson; two siblings, Iris Mann and William “Billy” David Christian Jr.; one brother-in-law, Donald “Donnie” Jamerson; two sisters-in-law Darlene Jamerson Dunn, and Pam Jamerson, She is also survived by her beloved hairdresser and friend, Sissy; many dear neighbors including Barbara and Larry Hudson; and her feline companion, Max.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle “Tish” Christian Inge and Amy Christian Glenn.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Doug Lee. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Rocks Baptist Church at 3 pm.
