Lonnie Christian Reynolds Jr.

Lonnie Christian Reynolds Jr., 78, of Appomattox, VA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was a Godly husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Griggs Reynolds, having just celebrated 57 years of marriage; three children, Chris Reynolds of Lynchburg, Stacie R. Bell and husband, Brad of Goode, and Ashley R. Gondi and husband, Tom of Greeneville, SC; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, Brandon Reynolds and wife, Claire, and their son, Jack, Taylor Craig and husband, Brendan, Lauren Reynolds, Cody Reynolds and wife, Rylee, Braydon Bell, Kylie Bell, Delaney Gondi, and Barrett Gondi; two sisters, Delores R. Cheatham and husband, H.T., and Debra R. Chumley and husband, James; a brother, Michael R. Reynolds and wife, Cheryl; one aunt, Sallie R. Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born in Appomattox, VA, on March 6,1947, he was the son of the late Belle and Lonnie Christian Reynolds Sr. He attended Thomas Road Baptist Church. Lonnie was a US Navy veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War and retired from Verizon after 35 years.
A funeral will be held at 3 pm, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Brad Bell. Burial will follow at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
