Jennifer Ann Laney Steppe

Jennifer Ann Laney Steppe, 67, of Randolph, VA, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Duke University Hospital. She was the wife of Dean E. Steppe for 45 years.
Born in Santa Monica, California on October 30, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Marie Elizabeth Bafus and the late Harry Cleo Laney. She retired from IBM with over 40 years of service. Jennifer loved cruising, horseback riding and landscaping.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Becky Steppe-Hauben and husband, Adam, Aaron Steppe and wife, Tabatha, and Mickey Steppe; six grandchildren, Zachary, Drew, Lacey, Kylie, Callah, and Wyatt; one sister, Lorene L. Collier, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Byron Laney.
A graveside service will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA, officiated by Pastor Eric Brown.
