David Lee Witt, 79, of Appomattox, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was the husband of Harriet Corinne Malvaney.
Born in Martin County, Indianna, on July 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Earl Clayton Witt and Doris Imogene Hopkins Witt. He retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children LeeAnn Witt, Leslie Witt, and Shawn Witt; four grandchildren, Addison, Aubrey, and Aiden Witt, and Grayson Cruz; and a brother, Don Witt.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30am, Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
