Jean Childress DeMuth

Jean Attress Childress DeMuth, 72, of Phenix, VA passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Roger Dale DeMuth.
Born on December 16, 1952, in Lynchburg, she was the only child of the late Ennis Pernel Childress and Louise Adams Childress.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Roger DeMuth, Jr., Chris DeMuth, Jeremiah DeMuth and Nadia, and Amanda DeMuth; sister-in-law, Sharon Harris; and six brothers-in-law, Doug DeMuth and Carolyn, Curtis DeMuth and Daisy, Jimmy DeMuth and Bonnie, Rick DeMuth and Fay Pack, Bobby DeMuth and Delores, and Ronnie DeMuth.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ralph “R.L.” Harris.
A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Phenix, VA with Pastor Mike Teixeira officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8 pm, Friday, November 7 at Phenix United Methodist Church, Phenix, VA.
