Edith Caldwell Harris

Edith Caldwell Harris, 94, of Appomattox passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Frank Carlton Harris, Jr.
Born in Appomattox on December 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Hunter Caldwell and Sara Howerton Caldwell. She was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Ron Harris and wife, Debbie; granddaughter, Susan R. Arrington and husband, Dan; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Autumn Arrington; daughter-in-law, Laurie Selz Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Carlton Harris; four brothers, H. H. Caldwell, Edward Caldwell, Fred Caldwell, and Marvin Caldwell; and one sister, Doris Martin.
A graveside service will be held 11am, Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Harris Family Cemetery, 1078 North Creek Rd, Appomattox, VA with Pastor Bud Reid officiating.
