Riley Herman Jones, Sr.

Riley Herman Jones, Sr., 80, of Gladstone passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Rebecca McCormick Jones.
Born on August 26, 1945, in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Harry Wilson Jones and Virginia Goin Jones.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Melissa Blanchard and Gary, Riley H. Jones, Jr. and Judy, Katie J. Moss and Richard, Sam Jones, and Donna Childress; 12 grandchildren including two special granddaughters Daisy Tyree and husband, Joey and Chrissy Scruggs, who were like his daughters as they were his very special care givers daily; 14 great-grandchildren including a very special great-grandson, John that he loved dearly who lived with him; five siblings, Iris J. Ramsey, Sherman Jones, Betty J. Litchford, Joe Jones, and Faye J. Fitzgerald; and a special friend of the family, Jenny Critzer.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Waylon Coffey; and a sister, Pearl J. Ramsey.
