James Hughie Rombow

James Hughie Rombow, 75 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at his home.  James was born in Fayetteville, WV on September 21, 1944 and was a son of the late Samuel Rombow and Mary Flint Rombow and step-son to the late George Clendenin.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George Allen Clendenin and T.H. Clendenin.  He is survived by his wife, Iris Mae Lane Rombow of Narrows, two sons, Christopher Allen Rombow of WV, Samuel Scott Rombow of Bluefield, VA, one step-son, Christopher L. Akers of Knoxville, TN, one step daughter, Lynnette A. & Gerald Moulder of Narrows, two brothers, Frank Rombow of Richmond, Ronnie Clendenin, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 11, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows.  Following James’s request, there will be no service.  The family is being served by Givens - Riffe Funeral Service in Narrows, (540) 726-2442, and online at riffefuneralservice.com.
