Daniel Thomas “DT” Short

Daniel Thomas “DT” Short, 98, of Roanoke died Monday, November 18, 2019. He was a son of the late, Victor Short and Willie Sutherland Short. He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Dove Short; a son, Danny T. Short; a great-grandson, Zachary Short.

Surviving him are his son, Randy Short and wife, Gina; sister, Jessie McCollum; grandchildren, Angie Short, Amy Short, Troy Short and wife, Vera; great-grandchildren, Nathanael Short, Alexis Short and Leila Short; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A graveside will be conducted 11am, Friday, November 22, 2019 at Franklin Memorial Park with Reverend Nathan Colwell officiating.
