Brenda Gaye Martin Jones

Brenda Gaye Martin Jones, 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at her residence.
Born in Roanoke she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Kelly Martin and Shirley Arlene Agee.

If you knew Brenda you also knew that she was a strong willed and determined woman. She raised three loving children on her own, and still found time to go back to college at 28 years old and earn her associates degree. She dedicated 32 years of her life to the City of Roanoke where she worked as a Account Clerk II for the Department of Social Services.

Brenda is survived by a daughter, Wanda Robtison; two sons, Kenneth Jones and his wife Sheri, Phillip Jones and his wife Angela Hurst; two sisters, Linda St. Clair and Peggy Danell; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The family will conduct a private service at a later date.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
