Jane Watson Falls
Jane Watson Falls, 79, of Atwood Street, Appomattox, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her residence. Jane and her husband, Jim E. Falls, “Shamrock”, shared their lives together for 59 years.
Born in Pittsylvania County, February 17, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Wilmath Irby and Edward P. Watson. Jane devoted 22 years as a school bus driver for the Campbell County School System. She loved her kids on the school bus and the community. Jane enjoyed sharing her love of cooking with others.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jay Falls and wife, Linda of Lynchburg, and Mark Falls and wife, Michelle of Evington; one brother, Alvis Watson and wife, Jean of Hurt; four sisters, Betty Wilburn, Phyllis LaBrie both of Lynchburg, Mabel Cross of TN, and Cecil Smith of Gretna; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Reggie Falls and Jeffrey Falls; one brother, Calvin Watson; and two sisters, Fannie Andrews and Ava Lou Dawson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
