Mackie Wilson Richardson

Mackie Wilson Richardson, 87 of Bedford, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, August 3, 1932 in Gibbs Woods, NC, a son of the late Malachi W. Richardson and Mary Sorey Richardson.

He was retired from General Electric and was a U. S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Franklin Mitchell Richardson; his daughter, Rhonda Richardson & husband, Steve Hamlin; his son, Darrell Richardson; his step-children, Randy Mitchell, Renee Holdren, Ray Mitchell, Glenn Mitchell; his sister, Martha Haverty & husband, Harry as well as ten grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Morgans Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Arthur officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
