Richard Alan Ohl

Richard Alan Ohl, 59, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 5th, 2020. He was born on October 24th, 1960 in Erie, PA; but moved to Roanoke, VA when he was 5 years old. Rick grew up in Roanoke, went to Northside High School, and worked at Yokohama for 23 years. He loved all the sports teams from Pittsburgh (Steelers, Pirates, Penguins), and enjoyed sports, especially coaching and watching his sons play at Glenvar. He also followed NASCAR races; he liked to read about history; and listening and singing to music. Rick’s favorite vacations spots included Myrtle Beach and of course, his beloved Pittsburgh. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Rebekah Ohl, sons Jake Ohl (Ava Clayton) and Matt Ohl (Hayley Ohl), and sisters Julie, Peggy, Melissa (Anthony), and Krystal. He is preceded in death by his father Orville Ohl, mother Mary Esther Williamson, and step father Bill Williamson. There will be a celebration of life in the near future. Arrangements by John M.
