Clifton E. "Cliffy" Gilmore

Clifton E. “Cliffy” Gilmore, age 56 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Cliffy was born in Fincastle January 26, 1924 and lived in Bedford most of his life. He was the son of James P. and Christine M. Lee Gilmore.

Cliffy was a perfectionist and enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and playing games.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph M. and Odessa B. Lee, in addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Jeffery Gilmore of Roanoke; sister Crystal Gilmore of Roanoke; his Shih Tzu, Chance; fiancée Carolyn Seib; step-children, grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be 4:00 pm Monday, July 6 at Pleasant Dale Memorial Park, 3732 Breckinridge Mill Road Fincastle with Pastor Joey Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville.
