Allan Preston White

January 14, 1949 - July 8, 2020

Allan Preston White, age 71 of Troutville, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Allan was born January 14, 1949 in Mullens, West Virginia and lived in Roanoke most of his life before moving to Troutville two years ago.

He was in law enforcement for more than 15 years working for the Roanoke Police Department and the Water Authority in addition to being an owner of American Litho Plate. Allan served in The United States Army Reserve, was an avid hunter and fisherman, collected knives, and enjoyed target shooting and turkey hunting.

Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Becky White (Dennis Nalley) of Troutville, Jennifer White Abbott of Roanoke; three grandchildren: Cody, Nick, and Haley; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Noah, and Elliot; his mother, Ruth Seeley White; sisters and brothers-in-law Anna and Michael Simpson, Kate and Danny Bayse all of Roanoke; and nieces and nephews: Will Altizer, Kathy Wilkerson, Daniel Bayse, and Seeley Bayse.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, a memorial service will be arranged at a future date.
