Thenia Gravely Mills

Thenia Gravely Mills, 69, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, at her residence. She was born February 7, 1951, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Joe N. Gravely, Sr., and Sarah Martin Gravely. She retired from SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She loved sports, especially softball, reading, history, and westerns. She never met a stranger, loved to talk, and spend time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Mills; and sister, Doretha Flood.

Mrs. Mills is survived by a son, James O. Mills; sisters, JoAnne Bradshaw (William), Tyrell Gravely; brothers, Alfred Gravely (Carolyn), Jerry Gravely (Elaine), Michael Gravely, and Bishop Joe N. Gravely (Shirl); and grandchildren, Kailey N. Mills and Tyler J. Mills.

A graveside service will be Friday, September 11, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at Carver Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
