Kane Jones

Kane Jones, 31 of Roanoke, passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Kane was born in 1989 to his loving and devoted parents, Tom and Karen Jones. Kane was a miracle, he brought great joy to his family and all those blessed by his presence. He suffered from SMA his entire life and above all odds he lived 31 years with his parents. Kane was a 2007 graduate of William Byrd High School. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, listening to his dad read stories to him and his eyes would light up watching Bruno Mars dance.
Kane was predeceased by his grandparents, Roy and Glenna Lanter, Paul Willard Jones, and Billy M. Sullivan. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Tom and Karen Jones; sister, Denise Ashby (Brad); nieces, Gabrielle, Madeline, Charlotte Ashby; grandmother, Norma Jean Sullivan; uncles, Mike Jones (Diane), Skip Sullivan, Tim Sullivan; Aunts; Sandy Spradlin, Patty Waters and several special cousins.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Kane’s nurses; Connie Ramsey, Connie Waters, Brenda Williams, Diane Shelton, Leah, Nikki, Chandler and Cindy.
There will be a memorial service 4 p.m. Tuesday September 15, 2020 at Lotz Vinton Chapel. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the SMA Association.
