Ogretha Watkins Taylor

Ogretha Watkins Taylor, 60, of Stuart, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020, at her home.
She was born January 25, 1960 in Martinsville to the late Sam W. Watkins and the late Christine Reid Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christina LaVerne Watkins, and brother, Mack Watkins.

She graduated from Patrick County School and attended Red Hollow Primitive Baptist Church. She was employed by Tultex for 10 years; she enjoyed watching movies, dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by sisters, Tammy Watkins and Regina W. Brim; brother, James Conner; step-sisters, Grace Whitfield (Kevin), and Sherry Golden; step-brothers, Steve Golden and Keith Golden; two aunts; one uncle; nieces, Krystal Watkins and Tekecia Hairston; a nephew, Christopher Brim; three great-nieces and a great-nephew; as well as a host of other family and friends.

The graveside service will be on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 12:00 Noon, at the Reid Family Cemetery, 131 Delia Lane, Spencer, Virginia, with Elder Kelvin Hunter officiating. A floating visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2020, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
