Elson Mastine Price

Elson Mastine Price, 75, of Martinsville, Virginia went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday September 15, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

he was born on December 9, 1944 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Simon Perk Price and Annie Swason Price. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his sisters: Beatrice Harris, Charity Harris, Jennell Harris; and his brothers: William Price and Malcom Price.

He served the Lord in various capacities in church and was a member of First Baptist Church of East Martinsville. Elson was an avid sports fan. Never one to miss a game, you could always find him cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers or The Washington Redskins. He was very friendly and always waving and smiling at people who he met.
Elson is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Jeanette (Dillard) Price; one son Lance Price and grandson Cohen Price; many sisters-in law, brothers-in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 4:00 PM . at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Charles Withfield officiating. A floating visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
