Hilda H. Custer, 84, passed away five years ago. A graveside service honoring both she and her husband James Madison "Jim" Custer , will be held with military honors at 2:00 pm Friday, November 20, 2020 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road, NW Roanoke.

Hilda H. Custer, 84, of Daleville, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at home following a long illness.
Hilda is survived by Jim, her husband of 60 years; sons Jeff of Roanoke, Greg of Daleville, and adopted son Bill Berkley of Chesterfield; daughter Shelia Hall of Logan, Utah; grandchildren Lindsey Custer, Lee Tribble, Heather Monnett, Cody Berkley and Nicholas Dreyfus; very devoted caregivers sister Frances Morrison of Salem and niece Lisa Dreyfus of Troutville; as well as many other brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration of Hilda’s life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 14 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 19 Cedar Ridge Drive, Daleville.  The family will receive friends at the church 6-8 PM Friday, February 13.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
