Connelly McCoy Dowell

Connelly McCoy Dowell, 78, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1942, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Boomer Ransom Dowell and Rachel Eve Keyes Dowell. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, working on cars and good food. Connelly had a great sense of humor.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Keyes; and brother James Dowell.

Mr. Dowell is survived by his daughter, Colleen Renee Dowell; son, Conley James Dowell (Jessica Ritenour); sister JoAnn Fox; and grandchildren, Logan James Dowell, Kaiel Ryan Ruiz, Derren Lee Horn, Calina Noelle Lya Rosario, and Nevaeh Rayne Ritenour.
