Shamon D. Massey

Shamon D. Massey, 23, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020, in Martinsville, Virginia. He was born May 31, 1998, to Jared Dillard and Melissa Massey. He enjoyed rapping, singing, hanging out with friends and family, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sean Goddard.

In addition to his parents, Shamon is survived by his step-daughter that he loved so dearly, Kamani Adkins; five sisters, Shateria Massey, Ronisha Massey, Dashia Dillard, Monisha Manns and Cindy Thomas; brother, Dionte Manns; paternal grandparents, Robert and Dana Dillard; maternal grandmother, Mary Craig (Namon); step-grandfather, Jerry Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Refuge Temple Ministries, with Bishop Michael Penn officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. A floating visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
