Herbert Cecil Carter, 76, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at his home. He was born March 4, 1944, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Henry and Mary Alice Hairston Carter. He was a graduate of G. W. Carver High School where he played football and basketball. He enjoyed watching television and was a Dallas Cowboys Fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Penn; and brothers Marvin, Leroy and Henry Carter.
He is survived by his brothers, Rudolph, and Donald Carter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
