Edward Lewis Wright

Edward Lewis "Ed" Wright, 65 of Bedford, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Sunday, November 13, 1955 in Bedford County, a son of the late James Alphonso Wright and Gracie Martin Wright. He was also preceded in death by his beloved children, Steven Lewis Wright and Jessica Leigh Wright, his brother, Jimmy Wright and his best friend, Philip Wood.

Ed is survived by his beloved grandson, Keane Wright; his sisters, Linda Lacy, Shirley Fifer; nephews, Randy Lacy, Jimmy Lacy, Matthew Fifer; great nephew, Jason Branch; nieces, Debra Johnson, Kim Smith. Ed dearly loved his grandson and family members. He will be greatly missed.

Ed's family thanks Wayne Johnson for the calls during his illness. Ed appreciated Wayne for his thoughtfulness.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Thursday evening at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
