Autry "Half" Beverly King
Autry Beverly King, affectionately known to his friends as “HALF”, departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Roanoke Carilion Hospital, Roanoke, Virginia. He was born November 11, 1956, in Henry County, to the late Lester King and Arnetha Wright King. He was educated in the Henry County School System. He worked for many years at Spray Cotton Mills in Eden, North Carolina and later retired from AC Furniture in Axton, Virginia
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester King; sister, Carol A. Patrick; brothers, Franco and Willard King; and nephew, Shaun Tinsley.
Autry was united in marriage to Theressa Giles, and to this union was born one son, Tremayne Orlando King. Autry accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and united with St. Paul Holiness Church, Axton, Virginia, under the leadership of Bishop Edward C. Martin.
In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memory his son, Tremayne King (Kimberly); granddaughters, Gabrielle and Aviana King, of Collinsville, Virginia; sister, Laura M. Tinsley (Allen), of Axton, Virginia; brothers, Clifton M. King (Jackie), of Martinsville, Virginia, Jacob King, and Roger King (Sheila), of Eden, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Gladys M. King, of Axton, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A floating visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00 P. M. at St. Paul’s Holiness Church, Axton, Virginia.
“Although you’re gone, I’m not alone, and never shall be. For the precious memories of the bond we shared, will never depart from me. Our love surpassed the ups and downs, and helped us along the way and the same love will give me strength, to manage the loss each day. On my mind and in my heart “DAD” you will forever be.
