Barbara Kay Eaton

BARBARA KAY EATON, 74, of Eggleston, VA, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her home. She was born June 13, 1946 in Union, WV, the daughter of the late Arthur Lee & Anna Mae Brown Taylor.
She attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was very giving and good to everyone. She enjoyed making crafts. She looked out for others before herself and wanted to make sure everyone was fed whether it were friends, family, neighbors or the birds, squirrels and other wildlife.  She was tough as they came and never knew a stranger. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Taylor and Jimmy Taylor and her sister, Shirley Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 58 years, William Clyde Eaton; her children, William Darrell (“Billy”) & Cindy Eaton, Melissa Kay & Mark Anthony Perdue, John Randall Eaton & Robin Graham and Michelle Dawn & Joe Powell; her grandchildren, Callie Eaton, Carmen Eaton, Adam Eaton, Brandi Dawn Perdue, Jessie Kay Perdue, Chelsey Marie Eaton, J. W. Eaton and Roy Joseph Powell; her great-grandchildren, Andi Miller, Xavier Tabor, Leona Tabor, Phoenix Fansler and Emersyn Dawn Powell; her sister Doris Ann Doss  and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Strictly following the current mandates, a public visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged. The funeral service will be private and burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, to the Giles County Rescue Squad and Carilion Clinic Patient Transportation, and to Barbara’s physicians, Dr. Devereaux, Dr. Grube and Dr. Bennett.
