John Gregory "Greg" Talbert

John Gregory (Greg) Talbert, 58, of Martinsville passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in his home. He was born October 14, 1962 in Martinsville to the late John James Talbert, Jr. and Elsie Self Talbert Joyce.

He is survived by his paternal aunt, Mary Lou Griffin (Grady) of Asheville, NC and numerous cousins and close friends.

Greg was known for his quick wit and his close circle of friends who always expected a call to come visit and hang an ornament on his Christmas tree. In fact, he was known for showing up at holiday celebrations in his big red “Father Christmas” coat and hat. His favorite place was the beach at Emerald Isle, NC where he developed his great fishing and charter boat crew skills. Greg had a big heart and was dearly loved by his friends and family.
